Meet the Team
Toni Sauer
Owner and trainer at Sauer’s Riding School. Toni grew up riding hunter jumper, has a background in dressage, and competed on an intercollegiate riding team at the National level. Toni graduated from Centenary College with a B.S. in Equine Studies, holds a certification with the British Horse Society and has worked with top professionals in the industry. Toni is a conscientious instructor who takes pride in both helping horse and rider learn and grow. Her lessons are well-rounded and include horse care, ground work and practical knowledge, in addition to riding. Her coaching method is unique and positive thus creating a constructive and full experience while keeping basic riding principles and safety a priority. She enjoys the challenge of training green horses and is currently training her off the track Thoroughbred. |
Ashley Morgan
Instructor at Sauer's Riding School. Ashley has been an instructor and boarder for several years with Sauer's Equine Management, LLC. She rides hunters and jumpers and enjoys trail riding. Ashley graduated in 2011 with a B.A. in Psychology and her M.A.T. in Education. She's currently a 3rd grade Math teacher. Ashley's passion is to teach children to horseback ride and instill a love for horses and horseback riding in them. Her upbeat, positive personality and love for teaching supports the fun, family-oriented environment at Sauer's Riding School. She currently owns a Thoroughbred mare named Millie, who lives at Sauer's Riding School. |
Sauer's Equine Management, LLC
Toni and Pete Sauer started Sauer's Equine Management, LLC. in 2008, their collective experience in the horse industry has translated into extensive equine knowledge, expertise, and exceptional customer service and care.
Toni graduated from Centenary College with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies. She has worked at a number of equine facilities ranging from backyard barns to professional show barns. Toni's expertise coupled with her conscientious nature ensures that students and boarders are confident when working around horses in a safe, caring, and knowledgeable environment.
Pete has years of experience managing public and private barns. He is well-versed in barn responsibilities such as maintenance and repair around the barn, mucking stalls, handling equine emergencies and ensuring each horse getting the appropriate forage, grain, supplements and medications. Pete can read horse behavior and is known for creating harmonious turnout groups based on each horse's personality. Pete's work ethic, approachability, willingness to help and his ability to gain the respect of any horse make him the secret to the farm's continued success.
Toni and Pete also have two children; Lucas and Colbie. Lucas does his fair share of helping out around the barn and providing tons of entertainment. Colbie and Lucas love to help with turnout , grooming and taking pony rides. After long days on the farm, the Sauer Family returns home to their dog, Buckwheat and fond memories of Clyde.
